What to expect?

You are very welcome to join us on Sunday mornings. It can be daunting walking into a new church for the first time, whether you are used to church or new to the whole experience. At Holy Trinity we seek to keep Jesus Christ at the heart of everything we are about and do. We want to do our best to make it as easy as possible for you to settle in, to get to know people, and to get involved.

Where does the church meet?

Our main Sunday morning meeting takes place at our church building on Roft Street (SY11 2ER). You can find us on a map here. The best place to park is Central Car Park (SY11 2NR). It is a two minute walk from the church building and is free on Sundays.

When should I arrive?

We start at 10.00am. Why not aim to arrive 10 or so minutes before the meeting begins. Be sure to look for our welcome team as you come into the building. As well as welcoming you, they’ll try to answer any questions you may have.

What to wear?

You don’t need to dress up to come to church. We want you to feel comfortable joining us. Please just come as you are – church is about meeting with God and his people, not the clothes you’re wearing.

Will I feel uncomfortable?

We don’t want visitors to our church to feel uncomfortable. As a visitor, you won’t be singled out or asked to do anything you don’t want to do. You can feel free to arrive at the last minute, take a seat and listen in. You can leave whenever you like. We want you to remain as anonymous as you want to be, but we encourage you to introduce yourself to us – we’d love to meet you.

What will happen?

At the heart of everything we do is a trust in the living God who has revealed himself through his word. During the central part of our meeting we sing a mixture of contemporary and traditional songs. You’re welcome to sing along, or just listen (the words will be provided); we hear about and pray for church family news (again, you can just listen); a passage from the Bible will be read and then explained to us in a talk. You can find our Bible talks here.

What about children?

Babies, children and young people are very welcome at Holy Trinity. After the first part of the meeting, children under 11 join their own Lighthouse groups for age appropriate Bible teaching. Visit our Children, Youth and Families page for more information.

What happens at the end?

We serve tea and fresh coffee, cold drinks and some tasty treats afterwards (all free of charge). It’s a great time to meet others.

Do I need to buy a ticket?

You don't need to buy a ticket or let us know you are coming. You can just turn up for 10.00am on any Sunday.

We’d love to see you this weekend.

Please contact us if you have questions that remain unanswered. We look forward to seeing you in the near future.
